	Day1-Begin Your Tour \| Arrive Colombo \| Onto Kandy \| City Tour Of Kandy Welcome to your Merair Travel & Tours 'Sri Lankan Sojourn' tour! Your Merair Travel & Tours representative greets you at the 'meeting point' at the exit after immigration and customs and transfers you comfortably to your hotel in Kandy (check in after 1400 hrs). En route visit the Pinnewala Elephant Orphanage, the foster home of elephants. Observe these gentle giants of different ages and sizes as they feed, bathe, play together and even mate. These have been found injured or left abandoned in the wilderness. In the afternoon, depart for a city tour of Kandy. Visit a gem lapidary. In the evening, visit the temple of the Tooth Relic and thereafter enjoy a cultural show in Kandy. (D)
	Day2-In Kandy \| Sigiriya & Dambulla Tour Today, depart on a day trip to Sigiriya and Dambulla. First see the Cave Temple, containing more than 150 Statues of the Buddha. This was where a King of the 1st Century B.C. took refuge and later converted it into a monastery. Later, visit the Spice Garden at Mavanella, which grows spices and herbs used in Sri Lankan cuisine and medication. Next, drive to Sigiriya, which is a tribute to the vision of King Kashyapa who created this 'Palace in the Sky' in the 5th century AD, considered the eight wonder of the world by many. This citadel in the sky is a world heritage site, and a great attraction. It has gardens and terraces laid with water fountains, boulder gardens, cave dwellings, magnificent fresco paintings of the world famous Ladies of Sigiriya, the Mirror Wall, the 'Gigantic Lions' paws, the ruins of the palace and Royal Bath certainly tell us of the aesthetic sense of the king who exploited the skills and labour of his people to achieve his dreams. 	Day3-Onto Nuwara Eliya \| City Tour \| Visit Sita Eliya Temple This morning, move on to Nuwara Eliya. En route visit the Ramboda Waterfalls and take a tour of a tea plantation and a tea factory, where the best tea in the world is produced. Later, proceed on a city tour of Nuwara Eliya. Visit the famous Royal Golf Course, Victoria Park, and Gregory's Lake. In the evening, see the Sita Eliya Temple (Ashok Vatika), where Sitama was kept in captivitiy by Ravana. (B, D)
	Day4-Onto Bentota Today, proceed to Bentota via Kitulgala, where the famous film 'Bridge on the river Kwai' was shot. Arrive in Bentota and check into the hotel. Thereafter you have the evening at leisure. (B, D)
	Day5-In Bentota The day is free. You may spend the day enjoying the various water sports that Bentota has to offer. (B, D)
	Day6-Onto Colombo \| City Tour Of Colombo This morning, drive to Colombo. Arrive Colombo and check into your hotel. Later, proceed on a city tour of Colombo. It includes a drive through the Dutch- Portuguese Fort area, mosques, temples and churches, law courts and parliament buildings, the Independence Square, Convention Center (BMICH) and the National Museum. The rest of the day is free to shop to your heart's content. Visit Lakmedura, the arts and craft center famous for souvenirs, which will amaze you with its value for money offers. You could also travel down to Pettah, a bustling Oriental market place for some great bargains. (B, D)
