	Day1-Begin Your Tour \| Arrive Colombo \| Onto Kandy \| City Tour Of Kandy Welcome to your Merair Travel & Tours Sri Lankan Getaway tour! Your Merair Travel & Tours representative greets you at the 'meeting point' at the exit after immigration and customs and transfers you comfortably to your hotel in Kandy (check in after 1400 hrs). En route visit the Pinnewala Elephant Orphanage, the foster home of elephants. Observe these gentle giants of different ages and sizes as they feed, bathe, play together and even mate. These have been found injured or left abandoned in the wilderness. Arrive in Kandy and check into your hotel. In the afternoon, depart for a city tour of Kandy. Visit a gem lapidary. In the evening, visit the temple of the Tooth Relic and thereafter enjoy a cultural show in Kandy. (D)
	Day2-In Kandy \| Optional Sigiriya & Dambulla Tour Including Mavanella Spice Garden Today, you have the option of taking a day trip to Sigiriya and Dambulla. First we see the Cave Temple, containing more than 150 Statues of the Buddha. Later, we visit the Spice Garden at Mavanella, which grows spices and herbs used in Sri Lankan cuisine and medication. Next, we drive to Sigiriya, which is a tribute to the vision of King Kashyapa who created this 'Palace in the Sky' in the 5th century AD, considered the eight wonder of the world by many. (B, D)
	Day3-Onto Colombo \| City Tour Of Colombo This morning, drive to Colombo. Upon arrival, embark on a city tour of Colombo. It includes a drive through the Dutch- Portuguese Fort area, mosques, temples and churches, law courts and parliament buildings, the Independence Square, Convention Center (BMICH) and the National Museum. The rest of the day is free to shop to your heart's content. Visit Lakmedura, the arts and craft center famous for souvenirs, which will amaze you with its value for money offers. You could also travel down to Pettah, a bustling Oriental market place for some great bargains. (B, D)
