Everything You Need to Know
Essential travel information to help you plan the perfect Dubai trip. From visas to local customs — we've got you covered.
Plan Your TripIndian passport holders can obtain a visa on arrival in Dubai for stays up to 14 days, or apply for a 30-day or 90-day tourist visa through airlines or authorized agents. We handle the entire visa process — just share your passport copy and photo, and we'll take care of the rest. Processing typically takes 3–5 working days.
Dubai International Airport (DXB) is one of the world's busiest airports with direct flights from all major Indian cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Kochi. Flight time is just 3–4 hours. Emirates, Air India, IndiGo, and SpiceJet operate frequent daily flights with competitive fares.
The ideal time to visit Dubai is November through March, when temperatures are pleasant (20–30°C) and perfect for outdoor activities. December–January is peak season with festive events like the Dubai Shopping Festival. Summers (June–August) are extremely hot (40°C+) but offer great hotel deals and indoor attractions.
Dubai is one of the safest cities in the world with very low crime rates. No special vaccinations are required for Indian travelers. Tap water is safe to drink. Healthcare standards are excellent, though we strongly recommend travel insurance. Keep emergency numbers handy: Police 999, Ambulance 998, Tourist Police 800-4438.
The currency is the UAE Dirham (AED). 1 AED ≈ ₹22–23. Credit and debit cards are widely accepted everywhere. ATMs are easily available. We recommend carrying some cash for souks and smaller shops. Currency exchange is available at the airport and throughout the city at competitive rates.
Dubai is cosmopolitan but rooted in Islamic culture. Dress modestly at religious sites and public areas (cover shoulders and knees). Public displays of affection are discouraged. Alcohol is available only at licensed venues. During Ramadan, eating and drinking in public during daylight hours is prohibited. Tipping 10–15% is customary at restaurants.
