Merair Travel and Tours Pvt Ltd is a travel company registered in India, with offices at 721/26, 1st Floor, 18th Main Road, 4th T Block East, Jayanagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560041.

This policy explains what we do with the personal information you give us when you enquire about or book travel.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to arrange your travel. Depending on what you ask us to do, that may include:

• Name, date of birth, nationality and passport details
• Contact details including email address, phone number and postal address
• Payment information required to process a booking
• Travel preferences such as seating, meals and accommodation requirements
• Dietary or accessibility requirements where you choose to share them
• For corporate clients, employer name, cost centre and approval details

Why we need it

Passport and personal details are required by airlines, hotels, consulates and immigration authorities. We cannot issue a ticket or file a visa application without them.

We also use your contact details to send booking confirmations, travel documents and updates about your trip, and to respond when you contact us.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the parties needed to deliver your travel:

• Airlines, hotels, transport operators and ground handlers forming part of your booking
• Consulates, embassies and visa processing centres where you have asked us to file an application
• Payment processors handling your transaction
• Insurance providers where you have taken a policy through us

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

We retain booking records for as long as required by Indian tax and company law, currently eight years. Passport copies and visa documentation are retained only as long as needed to complete the application and any subsequent query, after which they are deleted.

How we protect it

Access to traveller data is restricted to the consultants working on your booking. Documents are stored on access-controlled systems, and we do not transmit passport details over unsecured channels.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you
• Correct anything that is inaccurate
• Delete information we no longer need to retain
• Stop sending you marketing communications
